We have a new vision for 2157 Lake Shore Blvd. West that speaks to the neighbourhood’s history and where it’s going. Our site has incredible potential. It was formerly occupied by the Silver Moon Motel which was demolished in 2008. Over time, the neighbourhood has been shifting from a car-oriented Motel Strip along Lake Shore to a vibrant, mixed-use community with a range of housing options, connections to recreational trails, and some of the most beautiful greenspace in the city – not to mention convenient waterfront access.
Our site is located on the south side of Lake Shore Blvd. West at the corner of Silver Moon Drive. It is found in the Humber Bay Shores pocket within the Mimico neighbourhood. This is one of Toronto’s most desirable neighbourhoods with new buildings and amenities, extensive parkland, and a small business community serving residents and visitors. With ongoing development adding more housing options and improved transit, including a proposed GO Train station at Park Lawn Road (on the Lakeshore West line), Humber Bay Shores will only continue to flourish.
For navigation, Lake Shore Boulevard West is referred to as the north-south dividing boundary, with the Gardiner Expressway to the North and Lake Ontario to the South.
We are proposing to add a 13-storey hotel with restaurant uses at ground-level. We are excited to make a positive contribution to the Humber Bay Shores community by adding new uses to a site that has been vacant for many years. We also have ideas on enhancing the public realm to take advantage of the site’s location near transit, parks, and trails.
