The Guiding Principles

A unique hotel with a green focus, bringing jobs to the community and capitalizing on transit connections.

Architectural Rendering

We are adding a new hotel to an area in need of hotel accommodation.

  • A midsize hotel with restaurant uses at the ground-level would bring visitors to Humber Bay Shores.
  • Our hotel would meet a need for comfortable places to stay for both travelers and guests of nearby condominium residents.
  • We want to give business travelers and tourists seeking a wellness focused experience a home base.
  • The City of Toronto has given direction https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2017/ed/bgrd/backgroundfile-108767.pdf  for new business development in the tourism sector. A hotel would represent a boost to the local economy.

We will bring jobs to the neighbourhood.

  • The proposed hotel uses would provide 40-50 full-time jobs to the community.
  • The City of Toronto has given direction for new business development in the tourism sector. A hotel would represent a boost to the local economy.
  • Ground-level restaurant space would draw both hotel visitors and community members to the site.

We are contributing to revitalization along Lake Shore.

  • Our vision for this site responds to a gradual shift in built form and uses from the former ‘Motel Strip’ to a walkable, mixed-use, and green area.
  • We’ve designed the site to provide an appropriate transition between the industrial uses to the north and the residential uses and parkland to the south.
  • We’re excited about future transit improvements, including the proposed Park Lawn GO Train Station and Waterfront LRT. Our vision is a for a hotel where it’s just as easy to hop on transit, use car-share, or walk, as it is to drive.

We want to give people access to greenspace.

  • With public realm improvements, our hotel would encourage visitors to take advantage of nearby parkland and trails.
  • We want to make it easy to use active transportation and are including a welcoming entrance fronting Lake Shore, facilitating walking, biking, and taking transit.
  • Our design has been massed to frame Lake Shore and Silver Moon Drive, contributing to a pedestrian-friendly environment.
